Dick was a devoted sailor through the 1960’s and 70’s. In 1983, his wife Marcie donated this trophy in his honor. It is presented annually to the yacht club member who best typifies what he stood for in the sport of sailing - “dedication, good competition, striving for improvement, helpfulness to others, and friendship”
