2015 M-Scow North American Championships

Sailing in Minneapolis, the City of lakes!

M16 sailors are invited to join us:

August 14 – 16, 2015 on Lake Harriet, a jewel in the Minneapolis’ chain of lakes!

Fees: $150.00 for M16 boats. This will include racing fees; light appetizers during Happy Hour on Friday night; breakfast, lunch and dinner for 1 skipper and 1 crew on Saturday; breakfast and lunch for 1 skipper and 1 crew on Sunday; and 2 commemorative T-shirts. Extra T-shirts and meal package will be available, see registration form.

Friday, Aug 14 - ALL BOATS MUST LAUNCH BY FRIDAY NIGHT

15:00 Practice Race

13:00-19:00 Registration/Boat Launching

Launch in front of boathouse and dock, NW corner of Lake Harriet. Launch and pullout assistance provided. On site trailer storage in the parking lot. All off-lake boats must pass inspection by Minneapolis Park Board staff for Aquatic Invasive Species. Limited Lake Harriet buoys available for the weekend, so register early if needed for best chance of securing one. Mooring for off-lake boats will be available at docks and on trailers.

All boats MUST launch by Friday night due to boat launch parking lot closures Saturday Morning. NO BOATS WILL BE ALLOWED TO LAUNCH SATURDAY MORNING.

7 races are planned, 5 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday. One throw-out will be allowed if six or more races are completed

Saturday, Aug 15

7:30 – 9 AM Registration/Breakfast
9AM Skippers meeting
10:00 AM First Race
Subsequent races at the discretion of the Race Committee.

Sunday, Aug 16
9:00 AM First Race.

Trophies: Prizes will be awarded to the skipper and crew of the top five finishers if there are fifteen or more entrants. In the case of fewer than fifteen entrants prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers
